- I can't give you a direct answer. The size of the item (if being hauled in an 18 wheeler) is 7' wide 13'4' tall and no longer that 52 ft. That is the dimension of a trailer for an 18 wheeler. Weight cannot exceed in a Dry Box 44,000 lbs (44,500) max. Flat bed trailers can haul more weight but it is in the open (but can be tarped). If the item is 44,000 lbs there is a line inside the trailer at the 48 ft mark that should not be loaded past. Driver has to 'scale' and adjust weight to all tires 12,000 on Steers, 34,000 on drives and 34,000 on trailer. This is DOT specified. If special equipment is needed...I'd suggest finding a broker to work with. Pay per mile is about 1.30-2.00 a mile.
- The freight class is calculated by length, width, height and weight.
- freight class is calculated by several factors: density, value of product
