- I presume you live in America and in my opinion americans, including profesionals working in the field of freight, are largely unaware of freight terms, internationally called as INCOTERMS(international commercial terms). They are basically 13 INCOTERMS governing international trade and commerce and they alone can form part of global transaction. Freight Payable Inbound may involve terms EXworks, FOB, FAS & FCA. For freight payable drp ship, the logical interpretaion may be CIF that means all charges upon arrival at port shall be borne by consignee/importer or buyer. - Evaluated Receipts Settlement (ERS) process How does ERS work? The supplier provides a list or catalog of products or services and firm prices to the buyer. In most cases, this information becomes part of a written contract. Our buyer creates a Purchase Order based on the pricing information and the need for the good or service. This Purchase Order may be sent electronically, via fax or by mail. The supplier ships Goods (or Services) with an itemized bill of lading or packing slip. This information must be accurate and detailed The supplier's packing slip or bill of lading reference numbers are entered intothe system upon Goods receipt. The Goods receipt date is the basis for discounting and the payment due date. Services are considered received at the point when hours are entered into the Enterprise Contractor Time & Payment (ECTP) system. All Freight should be shipped FREIGHT COLLECT FOB - Destination.
