How do I post hyperlinks in my fantasy league?

I don't know much programming or html or anything. How do I post a link to a webpage for my players? For instance, when I try to simply cut & paste the address in the message box, a *space* is automatically created in the address (since it's so long?) and I have to tell them to erase the space before using the address. But isn't there some way to simply hyperlink one word to the webpage? Can anyone help me with this?
