Post, Freight and Carriers

Does anyone know of any reputable 'freight & shipping' companies out there?

My wife and I are moving from Missouri to Oregon. We are newlywed so our belongings are not many (a 1 bedroom apt. ) so we do not want a whole UHAUL/Penske truck for that distance. We are trying to find some freight & shipping companies that might take our furniture and some boxes/containers, so that we really just need to drive there and save on gas too. The best bet we have so far is 'Freight & Shipping, Inc.'they offered us a total of $770 but there BBB rating is 'unsatisfactory'... so we are not so sure about them. But if anyone has any better ideas, please let me know, thanks.

1. I have moved often in the past with a U-Haul trailer. It is much simpler than using a freight company. If you have boxes of stuff that are well packed, check on a freight line (truck) that goes there. You might also check on movers, such as United Van Lines, etc. Regards, Dan
